Waving the flag for King Charles III’s Coronation

The Coronation of HM King Charles III and The Queen Consort will take place on Saturday 6th May, 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London.

Celebrations and special events are planned around the Home Nations, with street parties and other community events, plus the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on May 7th. The long weekend of celebrations will culminate with The Big Help Out on Bank Holiday Monday 8th. In tribute to HM The King’s lifetime of public service, this will be a festival of volunteering, according to Jon Knight, Chief Executive of the Together Coalition. We’re playing our part in the celebrations with our special Coronation flag, featuring the official emblem for the coronation of King Charles III.

The emblem is a red and blue design, created by designer Sir Jony Ive, and features flowers in the shape of the St Edward’s crown, which is used in the Coronation. Sir Jony has explained that this is to reflect the King’s love of nature.
