7m angled wall poles

St Helen's Place

Project

With a brief to achieve a like for like replacement, Harrison Flagpoles attended the site. We met with the client, completed a survey and reviewed the fixings before making recommendations. The poles were manufactured in Darlington to the requirements of the client and the mounting bracketry was designed with consideration for the existing structure. Installation within this conservation area was achieved using a platform access method.

Challenges

To replace and install a ‘like for like’ pair of 7 metre, 45 degree angled wall bracket flagpoles, to the existing fabric of the listed buildings in St Helen’s Place.

Solution

The flagpoles were manufactured in our factory to an extra heavy duty specification based on their length and the steel work designed around the existing structure of the building. Using an access platform for installation, the poles were secured to the stone sill by the angled bracket and supported with stainless steel stays.
