We installed three flagpoles of varying sizes in the Scottish Highlands at the Kingairloch Coastal Highland Estate. The flagship pole was an 8m glassfibre free-standing mast. This mast had a hinged base plate, yard arm, gaff, reinforced base and three halyards on each side.
We also installed a 2m aluminium roof-mounted flagpole with a bespoke adjustable bracket. This allowed the pole to hinge back onto the roof for maintenance. A 9m glassfibre flagpole with hinged base plate was also installed.
This project was challenging, not least from an installation standpoint, due to its location. The design of the bespoke flagpole was also a challenge, as we ensured it met all the requirements of our client.
The bespoke flagship pole, along with the other two flagpoles, was manufactured in our County Durham factory. The flagpole was installed by two of our technicians in two visits. An initial visit allowed the team to dig and pour the concrete bases, with a follow-up visit carried out to install the flagpoles.
