Wednesday 5th July marks the 75th anniversary of the National Health Service. Our NHS is one of the few healthcare services in the world that is completely publicly-funded.

Why was the NHS formed?

Back in 1948 the National Health Service was developed with three core principles at its heart:

  1. That it meet the needs of everyone
  2. That it be free at the point of delivery
  3. That it be based on medical requirement rather than the patient’s ability to pay

How can you support the service?

You can now celebrate this fabulous milestone by flying one of our NHS flags to show your support.

NHS 75th anniversary flag

We have three different health service flags for you to choose between: the NHS75 flag, a flag saying Thank You NHS and a blue NHS flag. Each is available in both a 2 yard and 2.5 yard size. We’d recommend opting for a 2 yard flag if your flagpole is 6 metres tall or a 2.5 yard flag if it is 8 metres or taller.

All flags are finished with a rope and toggle so are ready to fly as soon as you receive them. Each flag is digitally printed onto knitted polyester.

You’ll find all National Health Service flags here.
