Show your pride in Berkshire County by flying one of our quality British County Flags. Ideal for county fairs, local events, community centres or homes.
The Berkshire County flag design incorporates a traditional symbol of the county, the stag and oak. This design’s connection with the county dates from at least Michael Drayton‘s 1627 poem Battle of Agincourt, where he describes the men of Berkshire marching under the symbol of “a Stag, under an Oake that stood”. The stag has twelve-point antlers (characteristic of “royal stag” red deer), a reference to the county’s title as the “Royal County of Berkshire”. The stag and oak together represent the county’s forestry and deer herds. The Flag Institute considers the design to be “traditional”.
Our digitally printed flags are printed onto quality polyester material or our Harrison Eco™ material which is made from recycled plastic. If you want that extra touch of quality or a longer lasting solution, we would recommend our hand sewn option. The hand crafted flags are produced using woven polyester with knitted polyester layering by our skilled in-house sewing team in Newton Aycliffe, North East England. The experienced team meticulously appliqué the flags the exact County design.
